In a world where digital conversations are constantly getting more and more secure, Elon Musk is not just thinking about tweets anymore and hence he has finally unveiled its long-promised ‘everything app’ and changing how we interact and communicate altogether.

Here’s What We Know About XChat:

Elon Musk launched XChat, a new messaging feature launched within the X platform (formerly Twitter). The feature is built to offer several safe features including secure, private, and flexible communication experience. All these features are directly inside the X app, making the platform more than just a social media platform.

XChat Features:

There are several enhanced features embedded in the XChat that can be useful for everyone. Here’s the list of features in XChat.

End-to-End Encrypted Chats: One of the striking features of XChat is that its messages are fully encrypted, meaning only you and the person you are talking to can read the message.

Disappearing Messages: Another essential feature of XChat is that it has Disappearing Messages just like Signal and WhatsApp. It gives you more control as the messages will vanish after a set time.

No Phone Number Needed: You can also make audio and video calls without any phone number, which is a rare feature among other major messaging apps.

File Sharing: Additionally, you can share images, documents, and media directly via your chat interface.

Extra Security: There is an extra layer of security and hence your chats are protected with a 4 digit passcode.

Built Using Rust: The XChat is built on a Rust Programming Language, which is known for safety and enhanced performance.

Bitcoin-Style Encryption: As per Elon Musk, the XChat is similar to Bitcoin’s cryptographic systems, likely referring to elliptic curve cryptography.

XChat Roll Out and Availability:

Currently, the XChat feature is rolled out to premium users on X. It will further be rolled out to other X users. It signifies Musk’s broader vision to turn X into an ‘everything app’
