The newly elected president of the US Donald Trump has issued an executive order to delay the TikTok ban by 75 days. The president has issued a statement and order to the Department of Justice to not enforce the ban for 75 days. This will give the Bytedance-owned company to think about selling its TikTok rights to the US. The China-based company faced a ban on 18 January citing national security issue by the Supreme Court. The app was initially disappeared from the Google Play Store as well as the App Store in the US.
President Donald Trump has granted additional time to the Bytedance to either strike a deal with the administration or allow the US government to hold a stake in the company. This will give ByteDance to resolve the issue and think about having a joint venture with the US in which the country will hold the 50% of the stake of TikTok.
Trump while addressing the rally said, “As of today, TikTok is back. We have no choice, we have to save it.”
The executive order signed by Trump reads, “I am instructing the attorney general not to take any action to enforce the Act for a period of 75 days from today to allow my Administration an opportunity to determine the appropriate course forward in an orderly way that protects national security while avoiding an abrupt shutdown of a communications platform used by millions of Americans.”

Both the FBI and the Federal Communication Commission argued that TikTok willingly does everything that the Chinese government asks them to do and sells USA data to the rival country.
