Apple released the M4 chipset recently in May 2024 which was shipped with the iPad Pro, but there’s always room for a new update. The tech giant is planning to unveil the next SoC, the much-anticipated M5 chip in 2025. The company could launch its first iPad Pro with its upcoming M5 chipset. However, nothing is confirmed, but we could see the first-ever M5 chip product in the second half of 2025.

The last iPad Pro launched with an M4 chipset was equipped with a redesigned Magic keyboard and Ultra Retina XDR display. Additionally, it features Apple Pencil Pro too. We can expect a reshaped and new version of the iPad Pro with M5 chipset approximately after 1.5 years. No updates and hardware information is known about the upcoming iPad Pro. However, few reports indicate that Apple might twist the rear Apple logo to landscape orientation as compared to the front-facing camera in today’s iPads.

Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently came up with a new update that indicates the upcoming iPad Pro featuring an M5 chipset could enter mass production in 2025. If Apple sticks to its usual launch schedule then we can expect a busy fall in 2025 with the company launching the upcoming iPhones, AirPods, Apple Watches, and more.

To recall, the last launched iPad Pro comes with a 28.22cm Ultra Retina XDR display, 2420×1668-pixel resolution at 264 ppi, ProMotion technology with adaptive refresh rates from 10Hz to 120Hz, Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, Anti-reflective coating, Nano-texture display glass option on 1TB and 2TB models.

It is equipped with 256GB or 512GB storage with a 9-core CPU with 3 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores 10-core GPU. It has a 12MP Wide camera, ƒ/1.8 aperture, Digital zoom up to 5x, Five‑element lens, Adaptive True Tone flash, and Advanced red-eye correction.
