Apple continues to surprise us with its technological innovation and recently, the reports claim that the tech giant is planning to bring a design overhaul to its upcoming iOS 19, iPadOS 19 and macOS 16. As per reports, these design overhauls will refresh the user interface that will provide a more cohesive and streamlined experience across all Apple devices. The design enhancements will reportedly be available on iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

Here’s What We Know So Far:

The recent reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reveal that Apple is all set to bring design changes for its upcoming iOS 19, iPadOS 19 and macOS 16. Additionally, these changes will be inspired from company’s VisionOS, which is Apple’s spatial operating system designed for its Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset. This will be company’s ‘Dramatic Software Overhaul’ of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Apple is expected to announce this biggest design change at its Worldwide Developers Conference that’s reported to happen in June. However, the tech giant hasn’t announced any particular date for it.

With the improvements in visual appeal, the company’s redesigning will also focus on enhancements in user interaction. In addition, these changes will also bring major changes in the cross-platform integration, reinforcing Apple’s commitment to innovation. As per reports, this will be the major overhaul that iOS has received since the launch of iOS 7 back in 2013.

The design overhaul planning also includes change in the menu section, icons, apps, and system buttons. Moreover, the purpose of the redesigning is to simplifying how users interact with their devices. It is worth noting that this is not the first time when the tech giant has introduced a redesigned version of its operating system. To recall, Apple was also reported to bring the design enhancements and change with the iOS 18, but it arrived with no changes at all.
