Apple has launched the new iPad Pro powered by the latest M5 chip. The tablet was launched alongside the MacBook Pro and the refreshed Vision Pro – both running on the company’s latest silicon, the Apple M5 chipset. The new iPad Pro M5 comes in 11-inch and 13-inch screen sizes, featuring the Ultra Retina XDR display. Internally, the iPad Pro runs on the latest Apple M5 chip – which is claimed to deliver up to 3.5 times faster AI performance than the M4 and over 5 times faster than the M1 version. Apple has also focused on speed and efficiency. The M5’s graphics capabilities get a major jump with next-level ray tracing for more realistic lighting and reflections. It comes with 150GB/s of memory bandwidth – nearly 30% more than before – making multitasking and running multiple apps smoother.

The new N1 chip brings Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and better AirDrop performance. Cellular models use Apple’s in-house C1X modem, which promises up to 50% faster mobile data speeds while using less power. The iPad Pro can reach 50% charge in around 30 minutes with Apple’s new 40W power adapter.

The 11-inch iPad Pro is just 5.3mm thin, while the 13-inch model is even slimmer at 5.1mm. The Ultra Retina XDR display supports up to 1600 nits peak brightness, and there’s a new nano-texture glass option for reduced glare.

Apple has also launched new accessories – the redesigned Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro – to complete the setup.

iPad Pro M5 Price in India, Availability

In India, the 11-inch iPad Pro (Wi-Fi) starts at Rs 99,990, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular version costs Rs 1,19,900. The 13-inch model starts at Rs 1,29,900 for the Wi-Fi variant and costs Rs 1,49,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular version. Pre-orders are live, and sales begin October 22.

The iPad Pro with M5 will be available in two finishes – Silver and Space Black – in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB configurations.
