Apple has introduced a new AppleCare+ coverage option in India, offering several benefits for iPhone users that are flexible as well as provide affordable ways to protect their devices. The tech giant is unveiling annual and monthly subscription plans, including a new AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss option. This option will cover up to two incidents of theft and loss each year. Alongside this, users will also be able to enjoy their standard benefits of AppleCare+ such as priority support and battery replacements. In addition, you will also get unlimited repairs for accidental damage.
To recall, new iPhones usually come with a one-year limited warranty and 90 days of complimentary technical support. Nevertheless, Apple finally extends this coverage and allows up to two years from the date of purchase. The company also adds protection for accidental damage too.
The new services will include incidents of screen or back glass damage at a service fee of Rs 2500, while other damages will be available at Rs 8,900. Both the updated plans include monthly as well as annual coverage options, wherein monthly plans start at Rs 799.
Talking about the Theft and Loss Coverage plan, it also received a significant update, and hence, now iPhone users will receive coverage for up to two incidents of stolen or lost devices per year. This means that you will be able to replace your iPhone in case of theft or loss while continuing to receive standard AppleCare+ benefits.
In addition to Theft and Loss protection, Apple also includes unlimited accidental damage repairs in AppleCare+. It also covers liquid damage and battery replacements at no extra cost, even if the device’s health falls below 80 percent. Users can get all the support from authorized service providers and Apple Stores.
The coverage can be purchased at the time of iPhone purchase or added within 60 days through the Settings app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
