Apple finally confirmed that its popular health and wellness subscription plan is coming to India. We are talking about Apple Fitness+, and yes it’s launching in India on December 15 with several enhanced and power-packed features. To recall, Apple’s widely popular fitness service was first introduced in 2020 to help users maintain a consistent fitness routine.
Users could track their fitness goals with the help of trainer-led workout videos, real-time tracking of health metrics, and achievement rewards with their compatible Apple devices. Now, the tech giant has ultimately released this popular service in India, following a total of 49 countries and regions worldwide.
In India, Apple Fitness+ will be available on a subscription basis, with monthly plans starting at Rs 149. Additionally, you can also choose an annual plan, priced at Rs 999 with a family sharing option, allowing you to add up to 6 members under one plan.
Other than this, Apple is also offering three months of complimentary Fitness+ for users who purchase eligible devices, including new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3, or Powerbeats Pro 2 from Apple or authorised resellers. This will ensure that users are getting the the latest software updates.
Apple’s widely popular Fitness+ offers over 12 workout types, including including Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing, and Meditation. It also offers sessions that range from five minutes to 45 minutes. This way, the app is capable of helping both beginners and advanced users.
As soon as you pair the service with your Apple Watch or AirPods Pro 3, you will be able to track heart rate, calories burned, along with your progress inside Activity Rings in real time.
One of the striking features of Fitness+ is that users can create customized workout schedules, which are also based on their preferred activities, durations, trainers, and music. In addition, you can opt for Apple Music integration and can listen to music from genres like Hip-Hop, R&B, and Latin Grooves. Creators and trainers design each session to ensure a balance of guidance, variety, and encouragement.
Alongside India, Apple Fitness+ will roll out in multiple countries on December 15, including Chile, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
