Apple has declared some of its old smartphones and Apple Watch models as Vintage and Obsolete. The tech giant mentioned that the products that the company stopped distributing for sale more than 5 and less than 7 years ago will be considered Vintage. Apple discontinues hardware service for certain technologically-obsolete products. However, users may obtain service and parts for longer, as required by law or for up to 7 years, subject to parts availability.

In addition, your Mac laptops may be eligible for an extended battery-only repair period for up to 10 years from when the product was last distributed for sale, subject to parts availability. The company says that Apple products are made to survive long-lasting because they are made of durable materials that are heavily tested in their Reliability Testing Lab. Apple has taken this step keeping environment in mind and requests that the longer we use the product, the better it is for planet.
