Xiaomi has officially launched the Mix Flip 2 in China. This new device is probably the most refined clamshell foldable yet. It features some of the best-looking displays and comes with flagship-grade performance. Moreover, it’s one of the first flip phones to pack a larger battery as well. Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Specifications 

The Mix Flip 2 keeps the dual-screen design and brings some serious refinements to the flip phone format. The outer display is a 4.01-inch AMOLED panel with 3200 nits of peak brightness. Xiaomi has also optimised this screen to support over 500 apps. This makes it easier for users to reply to messages, check maps, or even watch videos without flipping the phone open.

Speaking of the inner display, it features a stunning 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports 2160Hz PWM dimming and comes with TÜV triple eye-care certification, making it sharp, vibrant, and easy on the eyes.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite — Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip. It also debuts an industry-first dual vapour chamber cooling system in a flip phone. This ensures that even during heavy loads and multitasking, the device delivers sustained peak performance without throttling. This could really be the flip phone that flips the script on cooling performance.

On the camera front, the Mix Flip 2 continues to offer a flagship setup with a dual rear camera system. It packs a 50MP Light Hunter 800 main sensor with OIS and 2x optical-quality zoom. There’s also a 50MP ultra-wide sensor for capturing expansive landscapes and scenic shots. On the front, it sports a 32 MP selfie camera. Additionally, the phone supports 4K 60fps recording, Dolby Vision, and macro photography with a 10cm focus range. 

Coming to one of the standout features, the phone sports a 5165mAh battery. This makes it one of the first flip phones to pack such a large battery cell. It could easily fix the main issue most users face with flip phones: battery life. It also supports 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, making sure you are powered up in no time.

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Pricing 

The Mix Flip 2 is priced at 5,999 yuan (approx Rs 71,500) for the 12GB + 256GB variant and 6,499 yuan (approx Rs 77,200) for the 16GB + 512GB model. The top-end 16GB + 1TB version comes in at 7,299 yuan (approx Rs 87,104). The sales have already begun in China, but there are no details yet about a global or India launch.
