Xiaomi seems to be all set to unveil its next launch under its Turbo series. To recall, the tech giant launched its Redmi Turbo 4 earlier this year in China; however, the device was launched as a refreshed smartphone dubbed Poco X7 Pro globally. Nevertheless, the company is now reportedly working on its successor, and hence we could soon witness the launch of the Redmi Turbo 5.
According to recent reports and leaks shared by XiaomiTime, both the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 and its global counterpart, dubbed Poco X8 Pro, could launch soon as both of them are in development.
Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 or its global counterpart Poco X8 Pro are live on the IMEI database listings, revealing some of its specifications and features. According to XiaomiTime, the Redmi Turbo 5 has been spotted with a model number 2511FRT34C on the IMEI database.
In addition, two mode model numbers have emerged including 2511FPC34G and 2511FPC34I which hint towards the Poco devices. These model numbers are thought to correspond to the global and Indian variants of the X8 Pro. However, it’s important to note that the IMEI database entries do not confirm the official names of these devices.
As far as reports are concerned, the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 could be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, under the hood. For display, the device could pack a 6.6-inch flat OLED panel along with a 1.5K resolution. There could be a 7,500mAh battery.
As the device is reportedly the successor of the Redmi Turbo 4 which is priced at CNY 1,999 for its base variant of 12GB + 256GB in China, so, the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 could be priced somewhere similar to the price of the Turbo 4.
Redmi Turbo 4 is equipped with the 6.67-inch display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1,920Hz PWM Dimming rate, MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage, and a Mali-G720 MC6 GPU.
