Xiaomi is gearing up to add one more member to its latest flagship lineup with the launch of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. While the company has already released the Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, the Ultra variant is yet to make its debut. Although Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed a launch date, new leaks from China have revealed some major details about the phone’s camera system.  news Also Read: Xiaomi 17 Air In The Works? Xiaomi 17 Ultra Camera Specifications (Leaked)

According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature a new 50MP primary camera sensor that supports improved in-sensor zoom. The new camera setup is said to extend zoom range, allowing users to get better detail of distant subjects without switching lenses. Besides, it is believed that the upgraded main sensor will be improved for low light, capturing clearer and more detailed images in dim environments.      news Also Read: Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Might Not Launch In India: Here’s What The Latest Leak Reveals

On the other hand, Xiaomi is said to be working on a new periscope telephoto lens with a 200MP sensor. Most likely, the camera will allow lossless zoom for multiple focal lengths as well as allowing macro shots from a distance. Both the main and telephoto sensors are rumoured to deliver richer colours and a wider dynamic range for more natural-looking photos.   news Also Read: 7 Best Smart TVs Under Rs 45,000 To Buy Right Now

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Camera Setup (Expected)

As per earlier leaks, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could feature four cameras at the back. Three of the sensors are expected to have 50MP resolution, while the periscope telephoto unit could go up to 200MP. It remains to be seen if Xiaomi plans to include the secondary rear display that was seen on the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models, as the Ultra’s larger camera housing might leave little room for it.

Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the launch date yet, but the 17 Ultra is expected to debut in the coming months. If the leaks hold true, this might turn out to be Xiaomi’s most capable camera phone to date.
