Vivo is preparing to launch its next-generation foldable phone, the Vivo X Fold 5, and this time, India is very much part of the plan. The phone will debut in China on June 25, but according to a recent report, its India launch is likely between July 10 and July 15. That puts it just days behind the expected reveal of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, setting the stage for a foldable face-off. news Also Read: Just Like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, But Better! As per 91Mobiles, Vivo’s launch window is placed shortly after Samsung’s Unpacked event, where the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected. If this holds true, buyers in India could get two high-end foldables to choose from in the same month. It must be noted that the Vivo X Fold 5 has already been spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) website, a typical sign that the India launch is not far off. news Also Read: Samsung Takes Fresh Dig At Apple Over Foldable iPhones And AI Features

Vivo X Fold 5: What We Know So Far

Vivo is aiming for a thinner and lighter foldable this time around. The X Fold 5 could measure just 11.2mm when folded and 5.2mm when unfolded, yet still pack a 6000mAh battery. It’s expected to support 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. news Also Read: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Gets A Big Discount In Just A Month Of Launch: Check The Deal Here

On the display side, it may use 8T LTPO panels on both the inner and cover screens, with up to 4500 nits of peak brightness and high-frequency PWM dimming for comfortable viewing.

Photography gets a serious upgrade, too. The triple-camera setup includes ZEISS lenses, with a periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom. Durability also sees improvements, with the device rumoured to carry multiple IP ratings (including IPX8, IPX9, and IP5X) for water and dust resistance. And yes, it should look sleek too. The phone is expected to launch in three colours—green, titanium, and white.

However, you must wait for the official information to know what Vivo X Fold 5 will bring to the table and how will it be different from the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
