While the rollout details are yet to be disclosed, industry reports suggest that premium smartphones from Vivo and iQOO will be the first to get the update, followed by mid-range and budget devices in phases. An alleged Vivo India employee also hinted at this timeline in a recent Reddit discussion, further adding weight to the speculation.
In China, Vivo has already announced that OriginOS 6 will launch on October 10, debuting on the upcoming Vivo X300 and X300 Pro smartphones. These devices will be the first to ship with the new Android 16-based custom skin out of the box, while older models will get the update in the coming months.
For Indian users, this marks an important shift as OriginOS 6 could bring a more polished experience compared to Funtouch OS, aligning Vivo and iQOO devices here with their global counterparts.
