Samsung might be working on its next slim smartphone, dubbed Galaxy S26 Edge; however, early reports indicated that it was cancelled. Now, new leaks and rumors suggest that the tech giant could be developing a redesigned version of the Galaxy S26 Edge, called ‘More Slim.’ This version promises a thinner and more advanced take on the Edge series. These reports suggest that Samsung is not abandoning the Edge concept and instead rethinking a more slim flagship in terms of looks and performance.

As per reports from GalaxyClub, the ‘More Slim’ project seems to be based on the legacy of the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was internally called ‘Slim.’ The development of the S26 Edge ‘More Slim’ started later than the original S26 Edge. This indicates the fresh take rather than a direct successor.

This claim was further supported by other leaks and a tipster. Tipster CID reference spotted the firmware files of the Galaxy S26 Edge and suggests ongoing software development. Nevertheless, these files don’t explicitly mention ‘More Slim’; however, their timing and internal links point toward a strong connection between the Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Edge ‘More Slim.’

Galaxy S26 Edge Expected Specifications

There are several leaks and claims by tipsters and websites, mentioning the specifications of the Galaxy S26 Edge More Slim. One of the most essential is from the leaker SPYGO19726, via SammyGuru, claims that Samsung is targeting an astonishing thickness of under 5.56mm. If this happens, then it will be thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge, which comes with a 5.8mm thickness. In addition, this will be thinner than Apple’s iPhone Air, with 5.6mm.

As per reports, for display, the Galaxy S26 Edge More Slim will feature a 6.6-inch LTPO AMOLED screen. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the Exynos 2600 chipset, and a battery around 4,300mAh or higher, a notable increase from the S25 Edge’s 3,900mAh

For design, Samsung might incorporate the aluminum composite frame with a titanium substructure. Camera upgrades are also expected, featuring 50MP main and ultrawide lenses, with a periscope telephoto lens potentially in the mix.
