Finally, Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.1.1 update in India, Europe and the United States of America. The update will be available for Samsung Galaxy 24 series devices in the mentioned regions. The patch size is somewhere around 3GB but it varied to an extent in different regions. As per the screenshots shared by multiple users on Reddit, the update brings 2024 security patch instead of the September security update.
As for the update, the Samsung One UI 6.1.1 update comes with AI modifications and functionality. A few features introduced in the smartphone are listening mode in the Interpreter, suggested replies, and composer for Chat Assist. The features were previously only seen in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Apart from that, Samsung Notes is also getting a new feature named PDF Overlay Translation. And there are improvements in Note Assist. The Sketch to Image feature introduced in the update is quite identical to the Pixel phones ‘Reimagine’ feature which will allow the users to add elements to an existing image via a rough drawing or sketch.
You can check if the update is available on your device by visiting the Settings section, heading to Software, and then to System updates. Now, if the 6.1.1 version is showing up there, then update your device as soon as possible to enjoy all the new features. In a parallel news, Samsung is also working on releasing One UI 7.0 based on the Android 15 operating system. And we can get to see this for the flagship Samsung devices in the coming months as well.
That being said, here is the list of smartphones that are going to get the update:
