Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold First Look: Triple-Fold Design, Dual Hinges, and Innovative Foldable Features Revealed

Samsung is all set to unveil one more premium smartphone under its Fold & Flip 7 series, dubbed Galaxy ZTri Fold, with power-packed features and upgrades. Reportedly, the Galaxy ZTri Fold was revealed at the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea. This will be the first time that Samsung will be offering a bold evolution beyond the popular Fold 7 and Flip 7 models. With the triple-fold design, Samsung is pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Samsung Galaxy ZTri Fold Expected Specifications

Design and Display

As per images, the Galaxy Ztri Fold features a dual-hinge mechanism, allowing it to fold in three segments. It thus creates a compact form when closed and gives a large tablet feeling when fully opened. Several international media houses shared hands-on images of the device, and hence, mention that the smartphone is remarkably thin when unfolded. It means the Galaxy ZTri Fold is echoing the refined design principles that made the Galaxy Z Fold 7 so popular.

It seems Samsung managed to carefully control the device’s bulk with a width approximately that of a finger or slightly wider when fully folded. The Galaxy ZTri Fold resembles like Galaxy Z Fold 7 due to sporting a triple camera system, LED flash, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Samsung Galaxy ZTri Fold vs Huawei Mate XT TriFold

Samsung is not the first company to unveil the TriFold smartphone; We have Huawei in this segment with its Mate XT-TriFold smartphone. The Huawei Mate XT TriFold comes with dual inward-fold hinges that set it apart from Samsung’s TriFold.

Nevertheless, Samsung’s TriFold smartphone design is a bit different from that of Huawei’s. Galaxy ZTri Fold’s top display folds left, and a second display hinges inward from the right. It is different from Huawei’s combination of inward and outward folds.

It means Samsung is more toward prioritizing usability and durability while offering a unique user experience.

Samsung has not officially announced the release timeline for its upcoming Galaxy ZTri Fold smartphone, but the rumors hint at a limited launch.
