While earlier leaks hinted at an early July launch, recent updates suggest a slight delay, placing the global debut of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 around the middle of the month. Leaks suggest that the event is expected to be held in New York City. What are these models expected to bring to the table? Here is all we know so far. Based on leaks and rumours, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to feature notable improvements over the current Fold 6, especially in terms of performance and design. The Fold 7 may be thinner than its predecessor, around 8.9mm when folded and 3.9mm when open. Talking about the performance, it’s likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
It is expected to feature a 200MP main rear camera with improved low-light performance. This will be a key upgrade over the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which features a 50MP main camera. Also, it may pack a 4,400mAh battery, which is the same as the predecessor.

Alongside the Fold 7, Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7. While details about the Flip 7 remain under wraps, but it’s safe to expect design refinements and performance upgrades similar to its Fold sibling. Interestingly, there’s buzz about a more budget-friendly version of the Flip 7—a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. This variant is likely to come with toned-down features while keeping the same foldable charm. It could appeal to users who want the foldable form factor without paying a premium.
Samsung has also been teasing an “Ultra” book-style foldable, leading to speculation about a separate Ultra model. However, recent reports clarify that there won’t be a separate device—the “Ultra” tag might just refer to the Fold 7’s top-tier specs.
