July will be exciting for smartphone enthusiasts and buyers as major brands have planned launch events for their upcoming devices. While Samsung will finally take the wraps off its next foldable smartphones, dubbed Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF will unveil its first smartphone with a unique design. The impending launches in July are worth looking forward to, especially if you are tired of your existing smartphone and planning to upgrade. You can expect smartphones across price points; no problem if you do not want to buy the exorbitant offerings from Samsung. Here are the top smartphones coming in July 2024.
Launching on July 10, the next Galaxy Fold model is expected to bring significant upgrades and a higher price. Reports suggest it will have a 7.6-inch AMOLED main display with 2K resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, along with a 6.3-inch cover AMOLED display. It may use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and have a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto sensor, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. It may have a 4MP under-display camera and a 10MP punch-hole camera for selfies.
Arriving alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 may also be more expensive than the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It may use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 6.7-inch inner foldable display with Full-HD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate, a bigger 3.9-inch cover display, and a 50MP dual camera setup on the back. It may pack a 3790mAh battery with fast charging.
The upcoming Realme 13 Pro will be the company’s first AI camera phone, launching later this month. The company claims the 13 Pro will “set a new benchmark in mobile photography,” without revealing the camera specifications. The details about the phone’s display, processor, and battery are currently scant.
The CMF Phone 1 will be Nothing’s first smartphone under the sub-brand. It will be a budget smartphone, which will lack the bells and whistles Nothing phones are associated with. However, the company has confirmed the upcoming CMF Phone 1 will have a removable back cover for better repairability. Rumours are rife that it will use a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, a 6.7-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, and a fast-charging 5000mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will face competition from Motorola as it is gearing up to launch its new flip phone, Razr 50 Ultra, in India on July 4. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra has already been launched in China, so its specifications are out in the open. The smartphone has a 6.9-inch main display and a 4-inch cover display, both using pOLED panels. The smartphone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and dual 50MP cameras on the back. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra has a 4000mAh battery with 45W fast wired and 15W fast wireless charging support.
