The next flagship smartphone that Samsung is working on is the Galaxy S26 lineup, with Galaxy S26 Ultra being the high-end variant packed with stunning features. Nevertheless, the recent leaks and rumors are revealing some of the key features that shockingly resemble the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Tipster Ice Universe shared images and short clips, hinting that Samsung might be borrowing design cues from Apple for its next Galaxy S26 Ultra. The images shared showcase a smartphone with softer edges and a rounded display that contrasts with the boxier look of previous Galaxy Ultra models.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Might Resemble iPhone 17 Pro Max

The leaked images shared by Ice Universe indicate that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra might come with a more rounded display than its predecessors. The tipster did a side-by-side comparison of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, S25 Ultra, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, and it seems that Samsung might be unveiling its next flagship with softer curves and flatter edges.

Samsung is taking feedback from users who mentioned that the earlier Ultra models were bulky and less comfortable to hold. While the Galaxy S26 ultra will not replicate Apple’s design entirely, however, subtle changes could improve the ergonomics and give the upcoming device a more refined and modern look.

The leaks further mention that the design overhaul will not only be limited to the Ultra variant, and hence, Samsung might be thinking of standardizing the more rounded and refined look across all models. If this happens, then it could mark one of the largest visual refinements in Samsung’s premium lineup in recent years.

Galaxy S26 lineup Launch Delay

Other than aesthetics, there could be a potential delay in the Galaxy S26 launch, and the main reason for this is the slower-than-expected sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The slow sales of the S25 Edge have affected the production plans for the S26 Edge, which has led Samsung to adjust its release schedule for the upcoming series.

As per the report, the Galaxy S26 series might debut in February 2026, with pre-orders opening shortly and availability likely by mid-March 2026.
