Samsung’s next big flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is already making headlines months before its expected launch. While the company hasn’t revealed anything official yet, multiple leaks suggest that the phone could finally see a significant upgrade in its charging department – something many Galaxy Ultra users have been waiting for. news Also Read: iQOO 15 Too Expensive? 7 Flagship Phones To Compare Before You Buy

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra May Get Faster Charging

A new tip from reliable leaker UniverseIce claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will support 60W wired charging. If this leak turns out to be accurate, it would be a solid 33 percent jump from the current 45W charging speed Samsung has relied on since the Galaxy S22 Ultra in 2022. news Also Read: Best camera phones under Rs 15000 in Nov 2025: iQOO Z10x, Vivo T4x 5G, Samsung Galaxy M36 5G and more

Conflicting Certifications

That said, things aren’t entirely clear just yet. The Galaxy S26, S26 Pro, and S26 Ultra were recently spotted on China’s 3C certification website. The listing, however, pointed towards the same 45W charging support for the Ultra model, creating some confusion. Still, leaks from multiple sources continue to insist that a faster charging upgrade is in the works.

What About the Battery?

Despite the leaks around charging speeds, reports suggest that Samsung won’t be changing the battery capacity this year. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to stick with a 5,000mAh unit – the same size Samsung has used since the Galaxy S20 Ultra back in 2020.

That said, Samsung has consistently managed to optimize performance and efficiency with each generation. For instance, the Galaxy S25 Ultra delivered almost 27 hours and 34 minutes of playback in tests – a big step up from the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 23 hours. If the S26 Ultra can pair faster charging with improved efficiency, it could be one of the most practical flagships in the market.

With an expected launch sometime next year, fans will have to wait and see whether Samsung finally breaks away from its long-standing charging limits.
