Samsung recently launched its flagship Galaxy S25 series in February 2025. Now, the new leaks and rumors have emerged revealing about the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. Even though the series is not expected until next year, but still we have the major upgrades coming up about the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung launched its Galaxy S25 Ultra with a quad rear camera setup. But it seems this time, the tech giant will ditch one camera in the Galaxy S26 Ultra and will equip it with three rear cameras. The claims came from the X user God (@Vhsss_God) who shared the prototype of the Galaxy S26 ultra. He claimed the smartphone housing three rear cameras including 200MP main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and 200MP telephoto sensor with 4x optical zoom.

Bringing three cameras in Galaxy S26 Ultra gives pave to another rumor which states that Samsung is doing so in order to bring back the variable aperture on the main sensor. This will reduce the need for the extra telephoto lens. This means the company is skipping two telephoto lens from the upcoming smartphone. To recall, the variable aperture is found in Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus.
On the better side, talking about the battery, the X user says that Galaxy S26 Ultra will house the better battery capabilities as compared to Galaxy S25 Ultra. The tech giant might bring the Galaxy S26 Ultra with exceeded battery size ranging between 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh. The prototype also indicates that Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a new S Pen with Bluetooth connectivity. This is one of the biggest upgrade as compared to this year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra it doesn’t have a Bluetooth functionality with S pen.
Other rumor indicate that Galaxy S26 Ultra will also feature Colour Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) technology. This will help in reducing power consumption and also increase the light transmittance.
