Samsung is working on its next premium smartphone series, the Galaxy S26, with power-packed features and enhancements. The fans have all the reasons to mark their calendars, as the tech giant might be unveiling its upcoming Galaxy S26 on February 25, 2026. The Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to be held in San Francisco. While the company has yet to officially announce anything about the Unpacked event and Galaxy S26, however, recent reports from South Korean outlet Money Today suggest that the tech giant is already at work for the event. The post was shared by Jukan on X.
If accurate, this would be Samsung’s first San Francisco-based Galaxy S launch since the Galaxy S23 series in 2023.
As per the report, Samsung initially planned to change its traditional lineup by replacing the standard Galaxy S26 model with a Pro variant. Additionally, the tech giant also planned to introduce an Edge version, rather than the Plus variant. Nevertheless, the user feedback of the Galaxy S25 Edge prompted Samsung to stick with its familiar models, including Standard, Plus, and Ultra variants.
The report further states that this last-minute decision change caused a slight delay in the series launch and pushed the Unpacked event to take place in late February 2026. This is a shift from the company’s usual late January or early February timeline.
Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to be powered by the company’s in-house Exynos 2600 chipset for most regions. However, regions like China, Japan, and North America might receive the devices powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Samsung is expected to start the mass production of its Galaxy S26 series in December, with the standard and models to have their production in January. While the devices are expected to be revealed in February, the actual sale date might follow a similar pattern to the Galaxy S25 series, which was launched a few weeks after its announcement.
Samsung has not officially confirmed the availability, launch date, or release timeline of its upcoming Galaxy S26 series, but reports indicate that the potential release could be around early March 2026.
