Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event is all set to take the stage on 22 January. We have all the expected launches on our plate from the Galaxy S25 series to upcoming watches. But one thing which is capturing our attention is the Galaxy S25 Slim which is said to be the slimmest smartphone of the year. However, nothing has been confirmed and it is expected that the tech giant is not planning to unveil the Galaxy S25 Slim at its Galaxy Unpacked 2025. Now the new reports hint that the company might not launch the Galaxy S25 Slim in US markets at all. Things that are making a bit confusing is that it might be exclusively available to the South Korean market.
Industry leader Evan Blass mentioned in his X post that Samsung won’t bring the Galaxy S25 Slim to the US. The smartphone might lie between the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra in terms of pricing. However, nothing has been confirmed from the brand’s side, but one thing which is grabbing our attention is the design of the Galaxy S25 Slim and what are the markets it will be centered on.
Evan Blass wrote in his private post on X, “One thing I will say about this model, whatever it ends up being called: it will almost certainly not be offered through US carriers. In the markets where it is offered, expect it to be positioned between the S25 Plus and Ultra, marketing- and price-wise.”
Another report surfacing on the internet claims that the Galaxy S25 Slim will have a flat front, back, and sides. If that happens then it’s not going to be ‘That Thinner’ after all and we won’t get anything new in terms of design. Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and to feature thin bezels. Additionally, the latest renders suggest smartphone to have a hole-punch cutout at the top for housing the selfie camera. As far as camera features are concerned, we can expect it to be equipped with the triple rear camera sensors.
As per new reports, the company’s rumored S25 Slim will run on the company’s latest One UI 7 beta operating system. To recall, several reports claimed earlier about the smartphone to be launching in May 2025. The upcoming Galaxy S25 Slim will be the slimmest smartphone of the year with 1.8mm thinner. However, the exact specifications and features of the series are still under wraps, the anticipation keeps on building up for the launch event.
