Samsung hosted its Galaxy Unpacked on 22 January with host of product launches. The main centre was the Galaxy AI and obviously Samsung Galaxy S series including Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. But what kept our hopes high was the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim. Oh Yes, Right! Its Galaxy S25 Edge! The tech giant teased the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge in its Unpacked event in San Jose, California. This is the new entry in the Galaxy S25 lineup with no details right now.
One of the biggest noticeable change that is evident from the phone’s design is that it is incredibly slim. While the etch giant hasn’t officially disclosed any information regarding the features and specifications of the phone, it’s still clear that the aspect is being highlighted as one of the key feature. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is teased to have a slimmer form factor as compared to Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25 Plus, and vanilla S25. Initially, the rumor mill suggested that the phone would be called the Galaxy S25 Slim, but Samsung has opted to go for the Edge rebranding instead.
This is Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge! Thinnest S25 model. Cool. It’s pretty thin. But it’s not THAT thin imo. So what’s the point? 😅 pic.twitter.com/myP63uJaCl

To recall, the last time when the company used the ‘Edge’ tag for its smartphone was for Galaxy S7 Edge, launched in February 2016. If you notice the front design, then the Galaxy S25 Edge resembles just like the Galaxy S25+ which is actually hard to make any difference at first glance. Nevertheless, what sets this device apart from other S25 lineup is its Camera design. The company has equipped the Galaxy S25 series with triple camera setup. However, the Galaxy S25 Edge features with a vertically aligned dual camera featuring two different lenses along with LED flash array.
Noticing the camera design of the Galaxy S25 Edge it seems that the company used two cameras with a reason to keep a slim profile for the phone. As the phone will be directly compared to the upcoming iPhone 17 Air, the rumors suggests that Apple will only keep one camera to make it even thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge. Whatever be the case, we can’t wait more Samsung to unveil this new addition in its Galaxy S series.
