
Samsung at the Consumer Electronics Show showcased the Galaxy A14 5G. The smartphone was up on several certification websites and as we thought it could launch soon, Samsung officially launched it without any announcement.
The Galaxy A14 5G comes with a clean design and has a 90Hz refresh rate display. Let’s take a look at its details.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G comes with a flat design from the back and the front offering a cleaner look. It has a textured back, which may help with the grip. It has a 6.6-inch water-drop notch display with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone has a noticeable amount of bezel, especially at the bottom.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It has a microSD card slot for additional storage. The RAM type on the device is LPDDR4X, while the storage type is unknown, as of yet.
The device boasts a triple camera system on the back with the camera sensors placed vertically. The setup is led by a 50MP main lens with an f/1.8 aperture. It is assisted by a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. It has a side-facing fingerprint scanner offering extra security. The phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio and a USB Type-C port for charging.
As for connectivity, it has 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou. It boots on Android 13 OS out of the box and has Samsung’s One UI 5.0 on top.
Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is priced at $190 (roughly Rs 15,700). It will be offered in three color options, namely, Black, Burgandy, Silver, and Light Green. It will be available in the US starting January 13.
Samsung is expected to launch the phone in more markets including India later this year.
