Samsung Expands One UI 8 Beta to More Galaxy Devices; Stable Update Based on Android 16 Arriving in September

Samsung is all set for its highly anticipated One UI 8 update, bringing some of the best features and enhancements to your Galaxy smartphones. The One UI 8 is based on Android 16, which will bring a smarter and more personalized experience across the Galaxy ecosystem. While many Galaxy users are waiting and expecting a full rollout of the One UI 8 in August, the tech giant has officially confirmed that the beta program for its upcoming One UI 8 will include more Samsung devices starting this week.

Samsung One UI 8 Beta Availability:

To recall, Samsung launched the first beta for its One UI 8 in May for the Galaxy S25 series. Nevertheless, the company extended the update to its new premium smartphone lineup, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the end of July.

Now, the company has announced that the beta program will expand to other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6. The update will begin next weel in Korea, the U.S., the U.K., and India.

Additionally, Samsung will widen the beta program in September, and hence, old devices like the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5 will receive the update. However, mid-range smartphones such as as the Galaxy A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54 are also in the list. Users interested in testing the new features can register through the Samsung Members app.

One UI 8 Features and Enhancements:

Samsung introduced some of the best AI-driven improvements via its One UI 8 update, including multimodal capabilities. This increases and enhances more natural interactions and real-time contextual understanding. Not only this, the update also integrates seamless with Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro.

One UI 8 Update Expansion to Smartwatches:

The stable update of the One UI 8 will begin in September starting with Galaxy S25 series, following with a phased rollout for other eligible devices. In addition, the tech giant also plans to expand One UI 8 to its Smartwatches, beyond Watch 8 lineup. This will be rolled out later this year and will introduce several advanced health features and refined interface.
