Poco X5 Pro 5G launch in India soon, hints Flipkart

Poco is planning to launch a new smartphone in India soon. Flipkart has confirmed that the brand will launch the Poco X5 Pro 5G. There is a dedicated microsite now live on the shopping website, which certainly points to the launch of the a new Poco phone, even though the brand has not said anything yet.

Flipkart does not reveal what the Poco X5 Pro would look like or what specifications you can expect. But some people tried their hands at it by increasing the brightness of one of the posters to see at least a glimpse of the phone. They somewhat succeeded. The phone seems to have dual cutouts for at least two cameras on the back. But nothing else is visible other than the cameras.

A previous report said Poco could launch the X5 Pro by the end of this month. Poco India head Himanshu Tandon also teased the launch and said the phone could come sometime during the month’s end or early February. The Poco X5 Pro has already been certified by various regulators. Going by the information available on these listings, it was suggested that the Poco X5 Pro is a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, which is one of the five phones launched in the Redmi Note 12 series in China.

If that is true, you can expect the following specifications on the Poco X5 Pro. There may be a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone may be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It may use a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. On the back of the phone, there may be a 108-megapixel camera, while on the front, you may find a 16-megapixel camera residing inside a punch-hole.

According to some rumours, the Poco X5 Pro may cost around Rs 20,999 in India. If we go by the China pricing of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, the projected price in India should be around Rs 20,600.
