POCO has confirmed the launch date for its next budget 5G smartphone in India. The POCO C85 5G is set to launch in India on December 9 at 12 p.m. IST. Ahead of the announcement, the company has shared a few key details about the phone. A dedicated listing for the device is also live on Flipkart, confirming that it will be sold through the platform once it becomes available. POCO has revealed that the C85 5G will come with a 6,000mAh battery, which is one of the biggest in the segment. POCO has confirmed that the phone will support 33W fast charging and 10W wired reverse charging, which should allow users to top up smaller gadgets directly from the device. The brand has also shared a preview of the design. The rear panel has a square camera module positioned in the top-right corner, and the POCO logo is printed vertically along the back. The phone will offer a dual rear camera setup, and POCO has confirmed that the main sensor will be a 50MP AI camera. The smartphone will be available in at least a purple colour option at launch. POCO C85 5G Expected Specifications

While POCO has not fully detailed the hardware yet, more information continues to surface online. A recent Google Play Console listing showed a device with the model number 2508CPC2BI, believed to be the POCO C85 5G. As per the listing, the POCO C85 5G may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. The processor is expected to include two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores.

The listing further suggests that the phone could come with 4GB of RAM and run Android 16. The display might feature a 720 x 1,600-pixel resolution with a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera.
