Google is all set to unveil its highly anticipated Pixel 10 lineup on August 20. However, the tech giant has already provided a first glimpse of its upcoming foldable, dubbed Pixel 10 Pro Fold, but full specifications have also surfaced online ahead of its official launch. These leaks and rumors indicate that the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be the most advanced foldable smartphone on the market.
One of the biggest highlights of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be its IP certifications. It is expected to debut with an IP68 rating, which ensures complete protection from dust. In addition, it could also allow the device to withstand submersion in water for up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. If this happens, then it would make the Pixel 10 Pro Fold the first foldable to feature full dust and water resistance.
It gives an advantage to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold over competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has an IP48 rating, and even the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which only offered water resistance.
As far as display is concerned, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will feature a 6.4-inch external display, which is slightly larger than the 6.3-inch screen on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Both the internal and external displays are expected to be brighter, including 3,000 nits peak brightness.
To power the smartphone, the company could equip this device with the 15W Qi2 wireless charging support. For storage, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could pack UFS 4.0 standard, which should improve data transfer speeds and overall device responsiveness.
For optics, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to support a 10x optical zoom, doubling the previous 5x capability. This improvement will allow for sharper long-distance shots and more versatile photography options.
