OPPO Find N5 Teases Ahead of the Official February Launch; Thinnest Foldable Smartphone with IP69 Rating

Nowadays there is a race to launch the thinnest smartphone with every company that has a shared market in the premium segment wanting to bring the slimmest smartphone in the market. In this regard, OPPO is also gearing up to bring the thinnest phone under its premium segment dubbed as OPPO Find N5. In a new report, OPPO’s Product Manager Zhou Yibao shared some of the official images of the upcoming OPPO Find N5. Additionally, the tech giant has also shared the IP ratings of the phone.

The OPPO’s product manager, Zhou Yibao shared images of the OPPO Find N5 on its Weibo account. The message in the post reads, “Thinness is not the limit of Find N5, but the limit of the charging port. I have selected some comparisons that everyone wants to see from the comment area. What do you think? I will continue to reveal some new information to you tomorrow. #OPPO Find N5# The world’s thinnest folding flagship, see you in February.”

The OPPO Find N5 is confirmed to launch in February 2025 with some of the best-in-class features and specifications. Zhou compared the Find N5 thickness against the iPhone 16 Pro Max, 1 yuan coins, and four stacked bank cards. It’s obvious from the post that the Find N5 foldable phone is thin in its build. To recall, iPhone 16 Pro Max is 8.3mm in thickness.

In addition, the company has also teased the IP ratings of the phone. The company confirms to launch of the Find N5 with PX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistant. As far as camera features are concerned, the Find N5 will support underwater photography. However, the company warns it to be not immersed in water for more than 30 minutes.

The Product Head Zhou Yibao earlier revealed that the Find N5 has been confirmed to have the internal codename ‘Haiyan.’ The phone will also support stylus and will be equipped with titanium body. From what we know so far, the Find N5 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Talking about the other features, the company could bring the upcoming smartphone with 50MP periscope telephoto lens and 5700mAh battery.
