OnePlus Nord 5 launch along with OnePlus Nord CE 5 and Nord 4 are confirmed.
After a long series of leaks and rumours, OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of the two mid-range phones — the OnePlus Nord 5 and the Nord CE 5. These smartphones will be accompanied with the launch of the OnePlus Buds 5, which are all set to launch on July 8 at 2PM IST. While OnePlus hasn’t revealed all the details, however, the Nord 5 is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset based on 4nm architecture and a flagship Kryo CPU, paired with LPDDR5X RAM. Hinting towards a better gaming experience, OnePlus says that the Nord 5 allows Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) at a native 90fps with boosting performance up to 144fps, while Call of Duty Mobile is said to run at 144fps. For better thermals, it is confirmed to get Cryo-Velocity VC cooling with 7,300 mm² heat dissipation surface area and graphene thermals just like the flagship OnePlus 13.
While the rest of the details are still unknown, certification listings suggest the Nord 5 could pack a 6,650mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Even though OnePlus hasn’t confirmed exact specs yet, the Ace 5 series gives us a good idea. The Ace 5 Ultra, which the Nord 5 may follow, comes with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a dual 50MP rear camera setup.
On the other hand, the younger version — the Nord CE 5’s specifications and features are still a secret. Based on China’s variant, it may feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, it may feature a 50MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it may have a 16MP selfie camera.
However, the final specs will be known once OnePlus officially unveils the Nord models, though the launch date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming Buds 4 will feature Dual Drivers, Dual DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 and 3D Audio. If you are a gamer and always look out for good latency earbuds, then know Buds 4 are claimed to offer 47ms ultra-low latency in Game Mode. How does it help? Ultra-low latency helps the audio to sync with the on-screen action, which is crucial for gaming. OnePlus Buds 4 will be available in two colour options: Zen Green and Storm Grey.
