Android 16 has already become the talk of the town with its latest Beta 2 releases with OnePlus making headlines by including its OnePlus 13 as the first Android smartphone, outside of Google’s Pixel lineup to receive the Android 16 Beta 2 update. Google is expected to roll out the stable version of the Android 16 earlier than expected this year and the tech giant is currently testing as well as fixing Android 16 in the Beta 3 version. Whatever the case, OnePlus highlighted its growing influence in the Android ecosystem by being the first Android smartphone outside of Pixel to get the Android 16 Beta 2 version.
The Android 16 Beta 2 is right now available for the developers and advanced users, as per official OnePlus Community post. This allows and gives opportunity to app developers and early adopters in OnePlus community to build more secured and better software experiences. Nevertheless, the OnePlus Community guidelines strict you to have the Android 16 Beta 2 version if you have these limitations.
The tech giant also mentions that Verizon and T-Mobile carrier devices are incompatible with the Android 16 Beta 2 version and hence you shouldn’t go for the older Beta 1 build. If you are going for the update, then make sure you have backed up your data as there will be data wipe out in the process. The company also listed some of the known issues mentioned on the community guidelines.
