Lava has officially launched a new smartphone in the budget segment in India. The Lava Blaze X is from the popular Blaze series of the company. The smartphone comes with a circular camera island, complementing its rear design. Some of its highlights include a curved AMOLED display, 64MP cameras, and a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Lava has also assured Android 15 support on the phone. Let’s see the phone’s price, specs, and features.
The Lava Blaxe X Pro is priced starting at Rs 16,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs 17,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The top variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage costs Rs 18,999. However, the Amazon price of the phone is Rs 14,999, Rs 15,999, and Rs 16,999, respectively.
Additionally, there’s a Rs 1,000 bank discount on all bank cards, taking the final price down to Rs 13,999, Rs 14,999, and Rs 15,999, respectively. The bank discount is applicable on both Credit and Debit Card transactions. The company is also offering a free service at home.
The smartphone has Titanium Grey and StarLight Purple. The smartphone’s first sale is scheduled for July 20 at 12 AM.
The Lava Blaze X Pro features a 6.67-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The panel has 16.7 million colours and a PPI of 394. The device has a 16MP camera on the front for selfies. There’s also the Screen Flash feature to help you click brighter images in the dark.
The rear has a dual-rear camera system with a 64MP Sony main lens and a 2MP macro unit. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p videos. The device also has a couple of camera modes such as Dual View Video, Film mode, Pro mode, Timelapse, Slow Motion, and others. It also has AI and Night mode for clicking images at night.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core chipset paired with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It packs a 5,000mAh Li-Polymer battery with support for 33W fast charging. The total charging time from 0 to 100 per cent is advertised to be 110 minutes.
As for security, the device has an in-display fingerprint scanner. It has a Type-C port for charging and has the following connectivity options: 5G, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS/GLONASS. It lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, however, you get a USB-C to 3.5mm connector when buying the phone. The device runs on Android 14 and is assured to get Android 15 later.
