iPhone Fold Leaks Suggest Titanium-Aluminum Frame, Touch ID, and a 7.8-Inch Folding Display

Apple is reportedly planning to enter the foldable smartphone market with its first-ever foldable iPhone. The upcoming foldable iPhone is expected to be released next year alongside the iPhone 18 lineup. As per reports, the device might carry the collaboration of two materials for its frame, having an innovative design and creating a sleek foldable experience for iPhone users. The details are, however, based on leaks and rumors, but the foldable iPhone is already generating significant excitement among tech enthusiasts.

Foldable iPhone Titanium- Aluminum Combination

Apple’s foldable iPhone is rumored to be equipped with two frames, including titanium and aluminum, expected to offer durability and a lightweight design. As per earlier leaks, Apple might use titanium exclusively in its foldable iPhone, but recent leaks hint that the tech giant might experiment with frame materials. Apple might be shifting from stainless steel to titanium and then back to aluminum in recent Pro models.

Display

The foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.8-inch main folding screen. Apple might forego Face ID and bring Touch ID integrated into the power button. This seems to be the company’s significant departure from the standard biometric approach.

These changes are said to be supported by iOS 27, which will include new features tailored to the foldable design.

Design and Price

As per the report, the foldable iPhone could resemble two iPhone Airs joined together, hinting at a thin and elegant form factor. Further reports indicate that the upcoming iPhone will be priced at Rs 2,30,000 for its 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, keeping it at the high-end position.
