iPhone Air With A19 Pro Chip Debuts As Apple’s Slimmest iPhone Yet: Check Price, Specs, Features

Apple just lifted the curtains off its slimmest iPhone yet – the iPhone Air – at its Awe Dropping event on September 9. The smartphone was launched alongside the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The company axed the Plus variant this year to make room for the iPhone Air. The premium slim iPhone measures just 5.6mm thick, challenging the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge – which measures 5.8mm thick.

iPhone Air Specifications, Features

iPhone Air sports a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with ProMotion technology, offering up to 120Hz refresh rate, 3000 nits peak brightness, and Always-on functionality. It is powered by Apple’s latest A19 Pro chip with 5-core GPU – the same chipset that powers the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The slimmest Apple flagship comes with up to 512GB storage. It also comes with Apple Intelligence support.

For photography, the iPhone Air is equipped with a single 48MP Fusion rear camera with 2x telephoto zoom capabilities. The rear camera is housed in an elongated horizontal bar that runs from edge to edge. On the front, it gets a 18MP selfie camera. The iPhone Air supports Dual Capture video, allowing you to record videos using both the rear and front cameras simultaneously.

The iPhone Air features an Action Button and the Camera Control button for extended functionality. The device is said to provide all-day battery life with up to 27 hours of video playback on a single charge. The iPhone Air drops the physical SIM slot and supports only eSIM connectivity. The phone will run iOS 26 out of the box.

iPhone Air Price in India, Availability

Replacing the Plus variant, the iPhone Air comes in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. The 256GB model is priced at Rs 1,19,900 in India. The 512GB and 1TB variants cost Rs 1,39,900 and Rs 1,59,900, respectively.

The iPhone Air is available in four colour options – Space Black, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Sky Blue. It goes on pre-order starting this Friday, September 12, and will be available in stores starting September 19.
