Apple has announced the launch date of the iPhone 17 series, which is set to be unveiled during the “Awe Dropping” event on September 9th. Several leaks and rumours have already revealed a bunch of specifications and features that the upcoming iPhones are expected to bring to the table. While the iPhone 17 Pro models are more prone to getting major upgrades every year, however, the standard iPhone 17 is expected to bring several crucial upgrades over the predecessor iPhone 16. 120Hz display, finally!

One of the major upgrades that the iPhone 17 is expected to get is a 120Hz refresh rate display, instead of the 60Hz which has been there with all the standard iPhones. The previous iPhone 16 also features a 60Hz display.

Display Size Upgrade

The iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 17 is expected to get a display size upgrade. Several leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 may get a 6.3-inch panel. Last year’s iPhone 16 Pro has also been upgraded to a 6.3-inch display.

Better Chipset

This is a usual trend. Every year, Apple ensures that the next flagship model gets an upgraded chipset. The upcoming iPhone 17 is tipped to pack an A19 chip while the iPhone 16 packs the A18 chipset.
