
In the Made by Google event, the tech giant finally pulled the curtains off of the Google Pixel 9 series. It consists of four phones – Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Fold offering from Google has a thing and elegant design with a powerful processor and Gemini AI assistant in the background.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be available for purchase in the Indian market at a price of Rs 1,72,999. The device will only have a single variant in the country. The availability of the phone in India has not been revealed until now. As soon as it is available, you can purchase it from Croma, Reliance Digital, or Flipkart.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with a full-screen 160mm Actua display coupled with up to 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The internal display of the device is a 204mm Super Actua Flex OLED display with up to 120HZ refresh rate and 2700 nits of peak brightness. It includes 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage to keep all your apps and data. The smartphone is powered by a Google Tensor G4 chipset bundled with a Titan M2 security processor.
Coming to the camera prowess of the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, it sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP wide-angle shooter, a 10.5MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 10.8MP Dual PD telephoto shooter.
It also features a 10MP Dual PD front sensor and another 10MP Dual PD inner sensor. Some of the camera features offered with the device are Super Res Zoom up to 20x, Macro Focus, Real Tone, Dual Screen Preview, Manual white balancing, etc. And that’s not it, you also get video features like Video Boost, Audio Magic Eraser, Macro Focus Video, Cinematic Pan, etc.
One of the most intriguing parts about the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is that it comes with seven years of OS, Pixel Drop, and security updates. The device is based on the Android 14 operating system at the time of launch.
For security purposes, the smartphone includes face unlock, patterns, PIN, fingerprint unlock, and password. Other safety features include Emergency SOS, Car Crash Detection, Android Earthquake Alerts System, and more. Connectivity features like NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, Google Cast, etc., are also available on Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
It houses a 4,650mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. And the device also supports Qi-certified wireless charging. As claimed by Google, the device will have a battery life of 24 hours and up to 72 hours in the Extreme Battery Saver mode.
