iPhone Fold Price Leak: Here’s What We Know

According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Chinese platform Weibo, Apple may launch the base model of its first foldable iPhone – possibly named “iPhone Fold” – at CNY 15,999 (approx. RS 1,93,000) for the 256GB variant. This is significantly higher than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, which recently launched in China at CNY 13,999 (approx. Rs 1,69,000) for the same storage capacity. news Also Read: Apple Launches 14-inch MacBook Pro With M5 Chip And Up To 24-Hour Battery Life: Check Price And Availability

For those eyeing higher configurations, the 512GB and 1TB models of the iPhone Fold could be priced at CNY 17,999 (Rs 2,17,000) and CNY 19,999 (Rs 2,41,000), respectively. Surprisingly, even the 1TB Galaxy Z Fold 7 costs less than the 512GB iPhone Fold, as Samsung’s highest-end model is priced at CNY 17,499 (Rs 2,11,000). news Also Read: iPhone 13 vs iPhone 14 vs iPhone 15: Best Deal To Grab This Diwali Under Rs 50000

Limited Production, Premium Build

The foldable iPhone is rumoured to feature a crease-free display sourced from Samsung, along with a hinge and backplate reportedly built by Fine M-Tec. The phone is also reported to run a custom version of iOS 27, which is optimized for the foldable experience.

Rumours indicate Apple may produce the device in low volume like the Apple Vision Pro, and have it available in select markets.

These leaked prices are for China only, and the final retail price could be straight up different in the US, India or South Korea. But if this leak is accurate, the iPhone Fold will be Apple’s most expensive phone and targeted at consumers willing to spend money on an innovative design.
