After launching the iPhone 17 lineup in September 2015, Apple’s next focus is on the iPhone 18 series. The new report coming from the rumor mill indicates that Apple seems to be aiming for a cleaner and more seamless look with its iPhone 18 Pro models. As per the latest leaks from Chinese sources, the tech giant might drop the current two-tone rear design seen on the currently available iPhone 17 Pro. Apple might come up with a single-tone finish that blends the aluminum frame and glass panel more seamlessly. This is a small change, yet a subtle one for an iPhone lover.
To recall, iPhone 17 Pro features a glass cutout for MagSafe Wireless charging at the back. It basically contrasts with the surrounding aluminum frame, and hence, gives it a distinct two-tone appearance. Nevertheless, for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple is planning to replace the glass appearance and minimize the difference between the glass and metal. This might bring a more polished rear design.
Another striking rumor that’s capturing our attention is that Apple iPhone 18 Pro’s Ceramic Shield may feature a slightly transparent design. This tweak could enhance the phone’s premium feel, that too without changing any major look.
Other than aesthetics, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to be powered by the upcoming A20 Pro chipset, paired with a 2nm fabrication process. It will also be equipped with the in-house C2 modem. It means Apple will be moving away from Qualcomm.
Additionally, other anticipated upgrades might include a thicker body to accommodate a larger battery and possibly under-display Face ID in preparation for Apple’s 20th anniversary iPhone in 2027.
iPhone 18’s price is expected to start around Rs 82,900, the iPhone 18 Pro at approximately Rs 1,34,900, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max near Rs 1,69,900.
