Apple iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus launched globally; Check price, specifications, and features

In the ‘It’s Glowtime’ event, Apple has finally introduced the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus in the global market. Both the devices ship with the latest A18 processors and they have a lot to offer. It would not be exaggerating to say that Apple has tried to overhaul the variants with the help of Apple Intelligence.  The starting price of Apple iPhone 16 is $799 and the iPhone 16 Plus will be available in the market for a price of $899.

Apple iPhone 16 price in India

The iPhone 16 will be available in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 79,900 and it can also be purchased on an EMI of Rs 12,483 per month.  On the other hand, the Apple iPhone 16 Plus will be available in the Indian market at a price of Rs 89,900 and can also be purchased on an EMI of 14,150 per month.

Both the devices have introduced multiple color variants like aquamarine, teal, and pink along with the White and Black color variants. The devices use aerospace-grade aluminum which makes them 50% tougher than the previous generation iPhones. The Apple iPhone 16 comes with a 6.1-inch display and the iPhone 16 Plus comes with a 6.7-inch display.

Furthermore, the display of the device has a range of 2000 nits of peak brightness to 1 nits at the lowest. The smartphones come with the A18 processor that is offers 2x faster machine learning capabilities with fastest access to generative models. The 3nm A18 chip by Apple is even smaller than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The handsets are around 30% faster than the iPhone 15 and around 60% faster than the iPhone 14. Not only that but the A18 chip also uses 35% less power as compared to the A16 processor.

Apple is also bringing the Private Cloud Compute integrated with Apple Intelligence. The inclusion of Apple Intelligence will introduce new writing tools that can help in curating emails, messages, and a lot more. Furthermore, Apple Intelligence will also let the users create new emojis and images with the image playground respectively. You can also find your photos in the phone easily with Apple Intelligence just by typing a simple description.

In mail, the Apple iPhone 16’s Intelligence feature will help you get a quick gist of the emails. Important notifications will be stacked at the top. Additionally, Siri will guide you through everything via elaborated steps. And Siri will also get on-screen awareness along with personal context understanding.

The Apple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will also get a Visual Intelligence feature that will you to click and hold the camera button and point at anything to get the details about the same. This feature is something that is going to take on Google’s lens feature. The devices will also get a ChatGPT button for the same so that you can use Apple and ChatGPT together depending on the amount of privacy you want.

The camera controls offered in the phones include click and hold for video, and it also has multiple camera functions that can be controlled via basic gestures. iPhone 16 comes with a 48MP Fusion camera in a dual rear camera setup along with a 12MP telephoto 2x Zoom mode. Moreover, the device also gets a 12MP ultra wide-angle sensor that can capture up to 2.6x more light and it also works as a macro sensor.
