Lenovo seems ready to shake things up in the laptop world. A new leak points to a bold concept device called Project Pivo – a laptop with a rotating display. Instead of being locked in landscape mode like regular laptops, this one could flip into portrait mode too. The idea feels futuristic but practical, and it may get its first big showcase at IFA 2025 in Berlin. news Also Read: 6 Best Premium Tablets For Office Work: Which One You Should Buy

A Laptop That Rotates Like Your Phone

The leak comes from popular tipster Evan Blass, who shared a render of the device on X (formerly Twitter). The image shows the laptop with its screen turned 90 degrees for vertical use. Unlike a standard hinge, Lenovo is said to be using magnetic connectors to hold the display in place, with power and data running through contacts on the back. news Also Read: Lenovo ThinkVision T24i-30 With Full HD Display Launched In India At An Introductory Price: All Details

Why does this matter? Imagine scrolling through social media, reading long documents, or coding – all in a vertical setup, just like you would on a phone or tablet. At the same time, you could switch back to landscape for work, entertainment, or gaming. It’s about giving users flexibility without needing multiple devices.

Lenovo’s History of Bold Ideas

Project Pivo isn’t coming out of nowhere. Lenovo has a track record of experimenting with form factors. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable gave us a laptop with a screen that could extend upward, while the ThinkPad X1 Fold pushed boundaries with a fully foldable design. With Project Pivo, Lenovo now seems to be exploring yet another direction – this time with a rotating display that could change the way we look at everyday laptop use.

What’s Coming at IFA 2025

IFA 2025, scheduled for September 5-9, looks set to be a packed event for Lenovo. Alongside Project Pivo, the company is also rumoured to bring the Legion Go 2 gaming handheld, an upgraded version of its portable gaming console.

If Project Pivo does make it to the showcase, it could easily be one of the most talked-about concepts of the year.
