LinkedIn announced its AI-powered tools for job seekers last year. However, the feature was in the experimental stage and now, it’s live with some added features that weren’t available previously. The AI tools will help job seekers in several things starting from narrowing down their search results for a specific job to helping them edit their resumes. While that does sound promising, you cannot use it for free. There’s a cost to it. Let’s see all the features of LinkedIn’s AI tools and how much they cost.
LinkedIn officially offers its AI tools to its premium subscribers. LinkedIn’s suite of AI tools includes a better job search feature, which LinkedIn calls “conversational job search,” that lets users look for specific jobs based on prompts. For instance, if you want a writing job in a specific domain with a select years of experience, LinkedIn’s AI job search feature will show exact results.
Further, if you find a couple of job postings relevant to you, you can ask LinkedIn’s AI tool whether you are a good fit for the job or not. In a conversational style, it will let you know if you are suitable and what you can do better to increase your chances of getting hired.
Once you find the right job, you can apply for it and LinkedAI will help you to generate a good cover letter based on your job profile and experience. Additionally, it can fix your resume so that it matches the job profile. After you upload your resume on LinkedIn to submit it to a recruiter, the AI tool will offer suggestions of what changes you can make. You can either rewrite things by yourself or let the “Rewrite” tool do it for you.
While we haven’t yet tested the feature, some say that the AI-rewritten text doesn’t totally sound robotic, which is great news. Linked has planned to improve these AI tools in the future, making the job searching and application experience more convenient and smarter.
LinkedIn’s product manager Rohan Rajiv hinted that the AI tools will simply do most things for job seekers without much manual work. We aren’t sure how hiring managers will react to AI-generated cover letters or resume fixers, but it will surely help users apply for multiple jobs in less time.
To use LinkedIn’s AI tools, all you need to do is buy the premium subscription, which is available for Rs 0 for seven days. Once you have the premium subscription, you should see the AI features throughout the app, including the conversational Job search feature.
