How to use one WhatsApp account on two phones simultaneously in 2023

One of the biggest problems with WhatsApp on mobile devices was that you had to keep using a single WhatsApp account on only one phone. If you try to log in with the same number on the second phone, WhatsApp would log you out of the first device.  This is unlike Telegram and some other messaging apps that allow you to login on to multiple devices at once.

Interestingly, WhatsApp was updated recently and it allows you to use one WhatsApp number on multiple phones simultaneously. The process is straight forward so you don’t need to go through the hassle of logging in by OTP again. Having said that, let’s take a look at how you can use the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones in 2023.

Use the same WhatsApp number on two or more phones simultaneously

First of all, make sure you update WhatsApp on both phones. Keeping the app updated is always better as it may help you complete the process quickly and as just as we do here.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp on the second/new smartphone.

Step 2: Head to the login page where it tells you to put your number.

Step 3: Tap on the three dots in the top right corner.

Step 4: You should now see the Link a device option.

Step 5: Now, open WhatsApp on your first phone.

Step 6: Tap on Linked Devices.

Step 7: Scan the QR on the second/new phone.

Once you complete the scanning, WhatsApp will start working on the second phone. Just as it is on WhatsWeb, it will load all the messages and stickers from favorites.

That’s how easily you can use the same WhatsApp number on two phones. If you want to use the same WhatsApp account on a third phone then that can also be done.
