How to access Meta AI on WhatsApp

Meta AI is coming to both Android and iOS devices with the latest update. That said, before we get started, make sure to update the app to the latest version on your smartphone. Android users can do that from the Play Store, whereas, iPhone users can head to App Store to update WhatsApp. Once updated, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Step 2: Once you open the app, you should see the Meta AI button on the home screen, just above the green-coloured ‘+’ icon on Android. On iOS, you should see it at the top just before the blue-coloured camera and the ‘+ icon. Tap on it to open the Meta AI chatbot.

Step 3: Now, you can ask your queries to the Meta AI chatbot. There are several pre-loaded questions that you can ask by tapping on them, or, you manually write and send your questions.

While Meta AI looks like just another chatbot with a similar use case, that’s not truly the case. It can be used in a group chat along with your friends, making it more helpful and user-friendly. So, in a group chat with your friends, you can ask Meta AI to list the top holiday destinations for your next trip. Or, you can fact-check news right on WhatsApp by asking Meta to verify.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Step 3: Tap on the message composer.

Step 4: Type @Meta and wait for Meta AI to pop up. Once it does, tap on it.
