The telecom company is asking its users to complete their verifications in order to comply with government guidelines and regulations. Several users are getting warning messages that failure to complete the process may lead to suspension of their Airtel services.

Airtel has listed down the simple process of how to complete re-KYC, both online as well as in-store.

What is Re-KYC

The re-KYC or re-certification is a process to know your customer details, required periodically by regulatory authorities. It is asked to be completed so that the government can keep the subscribers’ information up to date. The process helps in preventing misuse of telecom services and keeps user data secure.

Here’s How to Complete Re-KYC Using My Airtel App

For users preferring the online route, Airtel allows completion of re-KYC through the My Airtel app or the Aadhaar-based portal. Here’s a step-by-step guide to complete it via the app:

STEP 1: The first step is to download the My Airtel app from the Play Store and register your number

STEP 2: Now, you need to access your profile on the app.

STEP 3: Click on the ‘Facing Issue’ option, and you will see an option of ‘Cat With Us’.

STEP 4: Select the More option and go to the Know Re-Verifications Status

STEP 5: You have to choose the number pending re-KYC and proceed.

STEP 6: Enter OTP on the mobile number for which you are doing re-KYC and another OTP linked to your Aadhaar.

STEP 7: Now, submit Aadhaar details

STEP 8: You have to upload your photo and video clearly.

STEP 9: As soon as it I submitted, Airtel will process the request within approximately 15 minutes

In-Store Re-KYC

Users can also visit any Airtel store with original ID proof to complete re-KYC. This traditional method ensures hands-on assistance and verification if the online process is not feasible.
