Frequent highway travelers in India have a reason to cheer as the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has officially introduced a FASTag Annual Pass. Designed especially for non-commercial vehicle owners, this new scheme allows up to 200 highway trips in a year with just a one-time payment. It aims to simplify the lives of regular travelers who often have to recharge their FASTag accounts repeatedly before every trip.

What is the FASTag Annual Pass and How It Works

The FASTag Annual Pass lets users travel seamlessly across national highways without the hassle of multiple recharges. Priced at Rs 3,000, the pass covers 200 toll crossings within a year. This initiative offers both convenience and savings, especially for those who travel long distances regularly.

Once activated, the pass will automatically deduct toll fees from your FASTag wallet every time you cross a toll plaza, without needing additional top-ups until the trip limit is reached.

How to Apply for the FASTag Annual Pass Online

  1. Open the Rajmarg Yatra app or visit the official NHAI / MoRTH website.
  2. Look for the FASTag Annual Pass link when it goes live and click it.
  3. Log in using your FASTag account credentials or enter your FASTag ID.
  4. Enter your vehicle registration number and mobile number.
  5. Verify the details on screen and confirm your vehicle information.
  6. Proceed to payment and pay Rs 3,000 using debit card, credit card, or UPI.
  7. After successful payment, the Annual Pass will be automatically activated in your FASTag account.
  8. Check your FASTag wallet or app to confirm activation and remaining trip count.
  9. Use toll plazas normally; the system will deduct trips from the Annual Pass until the 200-trip limit or one-year validity is reached.
  10. If you face issues, contact your FASTag issuer’s customer support or the NHAI/MoRTH helpdesk.

This digital convenience ensures that travelers can enjoy uninterrupted highway journeys without worrying about running out of balance. With this initiative, the government continues to promote smoother and smarter travel experiences across India’s rapidly growing highway network.
