The Check-In feature on the Apple Watch is designed to keep your friends and family informed about your safety during travels or other activities. It helps keep track of your journey and provides updates if something seems off. You can initiate a Check-In from the Messages app on your Apple Watch by selecting the Check-In widget. STEP3: Tap Edit, select Check In.
STEP4: Set your destination, choose your mode of travel (driving, transit, or walking), and add extra time if necessary.
STEP5: Check In will track your journey and alert your friend if your Apple Watch isn’t moving for a while or if you don’t reach your destination as planned.
STEP6: Once you arrive at your destination, Check In will automatically complete and notify your friend.
STEP7: Set a time period (for instance, if you’re meeting someone new). If you don’t end the Check In before the set time expires, Check In will notify your friend.
STEP8: Tap Send.
STEP1: Open the Smart Stack by swiping up from the bottom of the watch face or turning the Digital Crown.
STEP2: Tap the Check In widget.
STEP3: Scroll down and select “Add Time.”
STEP1: If you’ve finished your journey or need to end your Check In session, you can cancel it to notify your friend.
STEP2: From the watch face, open the Smart Stack by turning the Digital Crown.
STEP3: Tap the Check In widget.
STEP4: Scroll down and choose “Cancel Check In.”
