Step 1: Open the Instagram app 

To begin the process of deleting your Instagram account, you will need to access the Instagram app or website. Assuming most people already have the app, you can open the app and log in if haven’t already. 

Step 2: Tap on the Hamburger icon to open Settings 

After logging in, navigate to the account deletion page. This page is where you can initiate the process of permanently deleting your Instagram account. To do this, tap on your profile, then tap on the hamburger icon on the top, which looks like three horizontal lines. Then tap on Settings.

Step 3: Head to Account Centre

Tap on Account Centre, then click on Personal details to visit the account deletion page.

Step 4: Tap on Account ownership and control. 

Once you are on the Personal details page, tap on Account ownership and control. Then tap on deletion to permanently delete, followed by Delete account. Users can also deactivate their account for some time by tapping on Deactivation.
