To make your wish come true, Google is rolling out a new Search feature in India and the US called Preferred Sources. What will it do? The idea is simple that you can choose your favourite news outlets on top of the searches of Google, which will make sure that the stories from your preferred platforms will appear in the Top Stories section more often. Whether it’s a trusted local newspaper, your favourite sports blog, or a niche magazine, this feature lets you keep them front and centre in your search results. Once you select your preferred sources, their articles will show up more prominently in Top Stories whenever they publish relevant news. In some searches, you might also see a dedicated “From your sources” section highlighting updates from the sites you follow. You can add as many sources as you like and change them anytime. In fact, Google says that in early testing, more than half of the people picked four or more outlets to follow. If you’ve used this feature through Google Labs before, your previous selections will automatically carry over.
