PS5 Pro design, release window, revealed in leaks; Heres what we know

PlayStation 5 Pro snatched all the limelight in the Gamescom 2024. Now, the rumors regarding the console are getting widespread due to the approaching State of Play event to be held in September. In a recent leak, a reliable source who goes by the username will-kun on X suggested that the latest installment of PlayStation will be officially known as PS5 Pro and Sony is not going to do any experiments with the name. PS5 Pro design and release window: leaks

Rumors have it that the PS5 Pro will get an official release window in September 2024 and it will be available for purchase starting from November 2024. This sounds credible as the same happened in the case of PlayStation4 Pro back in 2016. As for the design, the image shows that the Pro variant of PlayStation will be even thinner than the PS5 Slim launched recently. It will have a single white color variant similar to the last one. The console will get 2 USB Type-C ports and a power button at the front of the console. The outer part of the console looks identical to PS5 Slim and the only notable change is the addition of three black stripes in the middle part. It was also mentioned in the rumors that the plates of PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro will be interchangeable. Apart from that, rumours have it that there is no disc drive in the upcoming PS5 Pro and it will only have a digital edition. This could be a result of the PS5 Pro being very similar to the PS5 Slim in terms of design. Fortunately, the controller of the PS5 series is not going through any changes at this point in time. Jeff Grubb from Giant Bomb stated that the price of PS5 Pro could range between $700 to $700.
